Maryland Multicultural Parish Seeking Two New Members for it's Lifelong Faith Formation Team
St. Camillus is a large, vibrant multicultural parish with weekly liturgies in English, Spanish and French. The parish is staffed by the Franciscans of Holy Name Province and has a strong commitment to social justice. The parish, located in Silver Spring, Maryland, is building a new faith formation team and are hiring for two fulltime positions: Director for Life Long Faith Formation and the Director for Faith Formation of Children.
The Director of Lifelong Faith Formation position involves development of a program that includes creative multigenerational experiences. Among the gifts an applicant will need are creative design, large event planning, a passion for faith formation, a collaborative style of team management, a working knowledge of new styles of learning and technology, good communication skills, an ability to recruit and train volunteers, and at least two years experience as a leader in the field.
The Associate for Faith Formation for Children develops, plans and directs the Faith Formation programs for pre-school and elementary age children and their families and assists in coordination of all faith formation and sacramental preparation programs in the parish.
Applicants should have a love for the Catholic faith, an enthusiasm for working in a diverse environment, and the ability to work collaboratively. An MA in theology, religious education or related fields is required and the ability to speak Spanish and / or French, in addition to English, would be advantageous.
